Arriving in France to start our new life, February 2019

So from our trip over to the Pyrénées in August, we started the process of organising our dream! Lots to do, but luckily everything seemed to slot into place.  We found buyers of our house in Fordingbridge, who were happy to wait until our purchase went through. So February eventually arrived, we packed up our house, the cats spent a couple of days in a cattery, the boys said goodbye to their schools and friends, my family put on a super leaving party, French themed and off we set for the ferry!

And here we are! It is absolutely stunning, the scenery is amazing, the boys school has been so friendly and welcoming, they have already been in a carnival, been cross country and downhill skiing with school. I am exploring and finding lots of great trails to run on.  Everyone I meet says Bonjour and more often than not stops for a chat, with me nodding and smiling lots and trying to formulate sentences!

We are ready to welcome our first guests as the Empson’s as proprietors of Maison Rachou.  Please come and visit and we can share with our our home and this beautiful area.
