Since 2019

Maison Rachou is a lovely farmhouse with a tastefully converted barn, which provides five generously proportioned B&B rooms all with en-suite facilities. We are only a kilometre from the village of Lanne-en-Baretous where there is a bar/bistro and boulangerie/ pâtisserie in the village. We have our own swimming pool for guests to use.

Best location in the Pyrenean Mountains

Close enough to the village of Lanne-en-Baretous to enjoy the bar-bistro, cidrerie and boulangerie, but in a lovely rural setting, Maison Rachou has lots to offer. Local attractions include road cycling with some amazing hill climbs, mountain biking, hiking, fishing, skiing, adventure parks, white water rafting, kayaking, hang gliding, caves, gorges, beautiful Pyrenean villages and scenery.

Aramits (10 minutes) has a supermarket and most essential services. For more serious shopping Oloron Saint Marie only 20 minutes away. Lanne-en-Baretous is in the Bearn, one of the ancient French provinces of the picturesque French Basque Country.

The rooms all have a light, airy feel and look out over the surrounding countryside to the mountains beyond. There is  large living area downstairs with information about what to do in the local area and board games to play.

Meals

A continental breakfast is included in your stay. We can provide pack lunches, ordered in advance, if you are going off into the mountains exploring.
